This course gives you a new vision: where we become a society that is not concerned with fixing behaviors, making diagnoses, suppressing symptoms, and judging, but rather a society seeking to understand the sources from which troubling behaviors and diseases spring in the wounded human soul.
This course brings counseling/therapy into the 21st century. With this course, I hope to touch many people, begin a conversation, and develop a common understanding of how trauma impacts our individual lives, communities, and society as a whole.

When human beings experience trauma or severe life stressors, it is not uncommon for their lives to unravel. Irene’s great passion is in bringing healing to people who have been through a traumatic/stressful experience. She helps clients find healthy perceptions of themselves and strengthen their relationships so they can know themselves as peaceful, complete, whole and safe. She educates and supports others in their healing process so that they can live a life they love.
She knows that no single approach is the right one for every individual, and so she has been trained in a range of modalities including Trauma Informed Yoga, Meditation, Mindfulness, Breathwork, Reiki, NLP, EFT, Focusing, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT) to help clients overcome and rise above their trauma.
Her educational background includes a Diploma in Naturopathic Medicine, and she is also certified in Counseling, Psychotherapy, Depression Counseling, PTSD, and Grief and Bereavement from the Kew Academy in the U.K. She also holds accreditation as a Clinical Trauma Specialist from the Arizona Trauma Institute and has full accreditation in Solution Based Counseling from the Priority Academy.

Module 1: Who Am I and What do I want?
The course begins with a quest for self-discovery. In this module, you will be on a
personal journey discovering who you truly are, want, and need. The exercises in
the workbook that accompany this module will help you delve deeper and explore
your values, passions, and desires.
Module 2: The Healthy Brain and Tools for Resetting the Nervous System
This module is a basic introduction to the architecture of the human brain. You
learn about the structure and function of the brain, how the healthy brain works,
how trauma and PTSD affect the brain, as well as discover some fascinating facts
about this most complex organ. Plenty of evidence-based tools for calming and
resetting the nervous system are also included in this module.
Module 3: Stress, Depression, Anxiety, PTSD, Grief and its effects on the mind, body, and spirit.
In this module you look at stress, depression, anxiety, PTSD, and grief and its
effects on the mind, body, and spirit. You will gain the knowledge to become
more self-sufficient and how to navigate these emotional distress responses using
different activities, exercises, and effective solution based tools.
Module 4: Transform Trauma into Triumph
Everyone is affected by trauma, in some form, so you are not alone. In this module, we
delve deep into what trauma is and how to rise above it. You will also discover
effective ways of coping with PTSD and how to move forward and begin healing.
Module 5: The Three Keys: Self-care, Self-Love, Self-Esteem
Self-care, Self-love, and Self-esteem are the keys to a joyful and fulfilling life. Of all the
judgments we pass in life, none is more important than the judgment we pass on
ourselves. Learn how to nurture yourself, find your worth, and be powerful beyond
Module 6: Coming Home: From Surviving to Thriving
The last module will help guide and support you from feeling like a victim to becoming
a true thriver. You will discover ways to free yourself from trauma-related fear and
shame, validate your trauma, and the importance of forgiveness.
